I just ran my own IP at www.stayinvisible.com and it really DOES say I live in Georgia! But I dont! Which is really really scaring me right now.... plus I need to apologize to Elys, because I thought she was just saying that to get people to not like me... but it really does say Atlanta Georgia! and then when I run the other one, it says Dulton. (sp?) this is really weird. But Im sorry Elys.

you dont type, you just click check my IP. and you have to actually register and all that...
It said my last name was like gresham or something like that... My last name is far from that... but I think my proxys are scrambled or something... like for that exact purpose, to STAY INVISIBLE. I reserched the site, and its possible to make you IP say something untrue, I dont really understand it all though... but Im sorry for calling Elys a liar, even though I didnt say it to her face.

it's called IP Masking and it displays a fake IP address instead of your real IP address, that way, no one knows where you really are, it's a helpful tool to prevent people from accessing your computer directly and installing trojans (back doors into your computer) on your hard drive...that would allow a person to do many things, based on what you said, you have an IP mask so you don't have to really worry as much about that...it's still possible to do, but it would take someone with a very good knowledge of it to do something like that...your typical average joe won't be able to

I could ask him about IP masking and see what he says...

I think he does though... He took our entire computer apart and then put it back together, just to see how this one thing worked. idiot. but, surprisingly, it works just as good as ever.

lol, it isn't too hard taking it apart and putting it back together...unless of course he opened up the parts themselves to see how they worked...now that's getting into fishy territory.
